Icey Hunter Lake falls.
Shawn, Evelyn, and I went hiking today. Boy was it beautiful. I miss Reno in all its mountains. I missed the snow (even though my feet were freezing.) Now I am sitting in my comfy clothes; in front of a fire dethawing a bit.
The picture.. Well first off I was playing with my moms D7100 ( someday... someday...) and I am still getting used to the settings a bit. Still trying to find that "Sweet spot". When I took this my purpose was to capture the specific formations of the ice. This is the base of the waterfall. I added a touch of processing by cooling it off a bit, but other than that completely natural.
Anyways, it was an incredible hike. Alot of fun, a quick five miles (a muddy five miles but hey they wash right?) and just enjoyed.. time. Time out in nature, time in places where you stop and all you can hear is the sound of your own breathing and the rush of a stream, the whistle of a sparrow and the wind blowing through the pine trees. This aside from family is the part of home I miss the most.
