The treats continue...
A relaxed start to the day, which is so nice after the 6:30 manic starts of the safari... We took four hours over coffees and toast out on the verandah.
I could hear a brass band and a commotion getting nearer and nearer, and Maree said the procession would come by the house! I rushed out in time to see the whole group go by - the brass band, all in white uniforms, was followed by groups of different people, all in colourful clothes, some of them singing. What a treat!
We've had a tour of Maree's school. We'd have loved to have taught here - it looks so inviting, with lovely classrooms set up for enquiry learning. Wonderful grounds with a huge swimming pool, too.
We've had a tour of the town, and we're now in a fabulous restaurant which has wifi and the most amazing food. No wifi at Maree's.
A different kind of holiday now, but just as fascinating.
