Romany Ridge
Another morning of fixed point photography on the commons. We set up some 36 points in the summer to be photographed three times a year as part of efforts to monitor the effects on the vegetation of the re-introduction of grazing. Back in July when the fixed points were selected I hadn't realised how low the sun would be at the end of December. It makes replicating the south facing photographs more or less impossible on a sunny day.
This pond (not a fixed point!) has recently been cleared. It used to attract lots of damselflies and dragonflies so I'm hoping they might return next year.
