Dark Deeds
Today might have been a walk too far, as the expected half hour of lighter rain failed to materialise and instead there was an hour and a half in the heavier stuff. It was mitigated by lunch in the Hollytree.
I'm normally too lazy to give the kind of historical background that I admire on Blip, but today we walked through Lettermore woods, the scene of the infamous Appin Murder, which was of course the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Kidnapped'.
I love the idea that the Stewart family still pass down the identity of the killer. Not so James Stewart's body hanging in Ballachulish for 18 months.
