Stargate Universe

I'm giving the new show Stargate Universe a try. I watched the premiere and it was halfway decent. It's got a lot of elements borrowed from other show - the whiz kid reminds me of Wesley Crusher, the journey to get home reminds me of Voyager, etc. But it was still quasi-decent.

Unfortunately, they've put it up against my current favorite show, Dollhouse. I'm not sure why, you have only to look at any sci-fi convention to see that both shows are enjoyed by fans. But that's Syfy ("siffy") for you, I guess.

This is not my TV, I was crashing at a friend's place and he wasn't there. That's the edge of his sofabed.
