Protective Mum
Went over to see Geoff and the children this morning and near his house was a field with lots of new Mums and calves. We were in the car , on the lane, a good 80 metres away (Blipped with Telephoto) but New Mum still got very wary and had a warning look. The new calf is still laying down, despite lots of licking to encourage it onto its feet. It is good to see that the calves are left with their mothers for several weeks, not seperated and bucket fed like they do in the UK.
