Maidstone

I decided to dive into town to see how the river was looking. It's lower than earlier in the week - according to all the news stories at least - but it's still higher than usual. There are a couple of expensive-looking damaged boats up past the bend.

For those unfamiliar with the county town of Kent; where the House of Fraser sign can be seen to the left used to be the Fremlins' brewery. Slightly right of centre, the building with the grey roof, is the Crown Court and to the right the apartment blocks occupy the site of the Softmint factory. Obviously I borrowed a helicopter to take this shot for you my dear blippers.

Saturday - how did that happen? Stir-fried beef with noodles calls and I'm betting a nice glass of wine later. Stay warm and dry amigos!
