High winds on the mountain

Another beautiful sunny day - only Gavin, Thomas and I went skiing as Luke and Adam stayed behind to catch up on some studying (they have school exams when they get back). Adam was also tired from a late night out last night with other English friends in the village, and Adam and Luke are out again tonight with friends having some après ski fun - so no need to feel sorry for them studying today!

The weather was beautiful, it was not cold, and the snow was perfect. There was however a very strong easterly wind whipping the snow off the mountain tops and even off the slopes, so you had to choose which area in which to ski to avoid the wind. I took some more photos today of the beautiful scenery which can be seen here - worth seeing I think!

The boys chose this photo to blip - this was taken at the highest skiing peak in the area, where the wind was blowing the snow so much it almost looked like mist - this was shot contre jour as the skiers were coming down the mountain to get out of the wind.
