Lake Austin View

This morning son G got up early to go for a 20 mile run- he is in training for the Austin marathon. This stirred us all into action so Mrs AMK49, M and I went for a more sensible 4 mile walk round Lake Austin.
The path round the lake even before 9 am was alive with serious runners, joggers, walkers, cyclists, mums running with buggies (very impressive) and dog walkers. This is not a city only with overweight Texans who eat too much - there is a huge culture of fitness and outdoor activities with people enjoying some lovely scenery and as can be seen here much of it is on the doorstep of downtown Austin.
I was grateful for the little bird which provided a bit of foreground interest!
