The Black Rock Gorge

This is a deep gash in the ground, near Evanton in Easter Ross. It's hardly any distance across, no Grand Canyon, but impressive for its depth and ruggedness. You walk into a harmless looking wood, and suddenly, there's this rip in the earth! There are many folk tales, involving the Gorge, some more gruesome than others. The camera doesn't do it justice.
