Weather
You lot are very well informed. It seems more than likely that Hannah yesterday does indeed make a habit of dressing up as Little Bo Peep. But she hasn't lost her sheep. This is a look called Japanese Lolita. It makes sense to me now as her friend - who was reluctant to be photographed - looked like she'd stepped straight out of some Japanese anime production. Much respect to the both of them for the effort and the confidence required to pull it off. It certainly beats the grunge look as far as I'm concerned. Not having daughters I can perhaps be forgiven for my ignorance about such fashion trends but I'm most impressed by the breadth of Mr.John's knowledge in such matters!
With the weather on the wild side I had planned to go to the office to get some pressing work done but it never happened. I procrastinated for a long time over going for a run this morning and then once I did get out I got rather carried away with myself. I think I really needed to find some headspace and blow some stress away. I think I might have been rather worried if the weather pictured here had been coming towards me. As it happened, it took me by surprise from behind as I was running home and this was taken just after the hailstorm cleared through. Just a minute earlier it was like this. It was a little chilly in my shorts! But I think it's a case of fortune favouring the brave. It pays to get out with the camera whatever the weather threatens to bring.
I have to make note of a thoroughly depressing start to the morning. Having gone to bed last night having just watched Cook and Carberry, in their different ways, put on a comfortable fifty for the first wicket, I was full of expectation of a century from the captain and a healthy score on the board on what looked like a great day for batting in Melbourne. Perhaps I should have feared the worse but I was genuinely horrified to look at the score and find out that we were rolled over again for less than two hundred. This is not a simple loss of confidence and resolve. We've suffered a haemorrhage. I think some kind of major transfusion is going to be required in order to recover from this.
