Keep it simple...

This is the only photo I took today and it is as it was taken - no editing.
It is the doorbell on the side door on the house that belongs to the secret garden.

I love its simplicity and how it evokes an echo of a bygone age. I walked past it as I went into the garden at the end of my shift today to enjoy the crisp fresh air after the days cooped up eating and drinking too much over Christmas.
The door bell has been there for many years and I wondered how many times someone has walked past it without noticing its simple appeal and the history it represents - what stories could it tell?

Sometimes you need to take the time to appreciate the simple things in life.
