Spoleto: Ponte de Torre, Rocca, Duomo, Beautiful Lunch, Amazing Miniature Nativity Displays, Sun

So, the holiday has been documented beautifully but unfortunately (fortunately?) there has been next to zero internet. It has been simple times with lots of lovely food, catching up with old friends and enjoying doing nothing much at all. I know this area very well and have spent a lot of time here. But, today was the first time that I had been back to Spoleto in about ten years, and a first time for the rest of the family. It really is a fantastic town and we had a fantastic day - walked miles and rewarded ourselves with a hearty Umbrian lunch.

Alice had a moment in the Cathedral (fantastic beautiful Fra Lippo Lippi frescoes) when she suddenly sat down and started to take her shoes off. Under hushed but firm tones I asked her what she was doing - she yelled (as she chucked her shoes a small distance) that "angels don't wear shoes"....!

Ahhhh. Italy. Ti amo.
