Last Rays of the Day

It was an unseasonably warm fall day and the kids were outside enjoying the warmth. I had decided to mow the lawn and when I came around the corner of the house, I saw them sitting there. I raced inside the house to grab my camera, hoping they would stay put. Outside again, I crawled on my belly behind them. They were oblivious to me, soaking up the last rays of the fall sun, looking out over the valley while I snapped away. I was fortunate to capture a bit of magic as my eldest took her brother under her arm.
