Christmas is the perfect time to indulge in a few old Ealing films, and what could be more festive than Whisky Galore! The scene in which the islanders indulge in the malt while singing an ancient drinking song is a classic bit of cinema, and one which would never make it into a modern film without attracting pages of faux "boozy Britain" outrage from the Daily Mail.
