Dogs are from Neptune

We have quite a number of dog-friendly beaches, where at prescribed times our canine mates are allowed to run free, as long as their owners are at hand with plastic bags. The beach at the end of our street is such a place but, unfortunately, sometimes folk don't keep their dogs leashed as required during the hours when children play on the sand and splash around in the sea. But not this couple, on holiday from I know not where. Perhaps because they had a couple of kids of their own, they understood the good old Aussie principle of "fair go for all". And everyone, man and beast, had a good time.
