The first rule...

I saw Jack today! Waheey. In Baker Street. He was merely passing through. But I'm so glad we found the time! Astrid joined and by then I had to leave - as soon as I got home, C and M arrived, and shortly after K, M and M... such wonderful company, on such a bittersweet day. Even got a bit of music in.

They left in a whilrlwind, making time for S, P and their kids to arrive... more tea, more tea, more biscuits. Hadn't actually met them before so it was nice, having heard so much about them.

After a rushed dinner, we had Pudding Club, of course. What you see here is the remnants of:
- a sticky toffee pudding
- a chocolate, passion fruit and popping candy tart with a hazelnut biscuit base (yes, Heston Blumenthal)
- rhubarb crumble
- hot custard
- malted milk and marmalade ice cream (another one of Heston's)
- rice pudding
- a panettone and peanut butter ice cream sandwich... I told the bro about the Gino D'Acampo segment where he made it, and the next day he announced that he'd had a dream about panettone and therefore had to make it. Nice!

Last two episodes of Nighty Night season 1 tonight! It does get a little bit manic towards the end... but they liked it for the most part, which I did hope for!

Then a cold beer (Doom Bar, after avoiding it at the pub this morning) with A, discussing book titles in front of this year's top-selling "RnB and dance" hits... hmm...
