There is a tide in the affairs of men..........

................ when they realise that they are the only people in the world who have never seen a single episode of Breaking Bad; that every radio and TV round-up of 2013 will make reference to this programme, threatening spoilers; that they have been given series 1 as a christmas gift; that they are decadent enough to sit down at 10.15 on a Sunday morning and watch the very first episode.

Why is it commonly claimed that this drama doesn't really get addictive until series 3 or 4? As far as I could judge from this first taste, it grabs you from the start!
