Frost lying on Montserrat's hillside

A quick picture this morning taken from my study to catch the sun's rays hitting the hillside opposite us at Montserrat. I love to see the shape of the landscape as revealed by the near horizontal light picking out the frost as it begins to melt. Sometimes the frost stays all day, and this is one of the first hard frosts of the winter. There are small gullies and combes where the warming rays never reach, just like there are parts of these valleys on which the winter sun never shines directly. We chose this spot because it is south facing and has these wonderful views to allow our eyes to feast on throughout the seasons.
