Bridego Bridge, Nr Mentmore

Following on from our walk in Brill which took us around Leatherslade Farm, the hide out for the Great Train Robbers, our AA book of 50 walks in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire also had a walk which took in Bridego Bridge where the robbers unloaded the money into the truck.

The Bridge is number 127, a sign next to it says it is Train Robbers Bridge and the actual sign on the bridge says it is Mentmore Bridge so take your pick of names but either was this is there the deed was done!

The rest of the walk was across open farmland and Grand Union Canal Towpath with a bit of road walking in between, it was a good walk and not as soggy as I was expecting! Beautiful day today, frosty start and lovely sun all days :)
