Christmas eve

Walked up to the local shop for croissants and pain au chocolat for tomorrow's breakfast. There were lots of fallen branches around and the house opposite has lost some capping tiles from the corner of the roof. Our fences survived intact but every leaf has now come off the wisteria and trees at the bottom of the garden.

Checked in again with work and did an hour or so. Sounds as if it has been quite stormy in London too.

Cycled into town for a couple of things. The river was rising and the water was already creeping over the banks in town. Came back and made more mince pies and had a quiet evening in.
