Thwarted Boxing day walk

Went out for a walk along the river. We knew it might be flooded a bit but were not prepared for our path to be totally blocked by water. We waded through some very large puddles but realised our usual route was impassable.

Nice to be out though. Saw a large bird of prey in a tree - not sure if it was a buzzard or a kite.

Stopped off in Sonning on the way back to see how the river looked there. The lock was overflowing - quite a difference to its usual appearance (Sonning Lock)
