Gritstone Hippo

gritstone
hippopotamus
I had my first decent walk for a couple of weeks: over the moor to the top end of Shipley Glen and then across through Eldwick before dropping down to Bingley and returning through Gilstead.
A good day for Kestrels, Wrens and a Great Spotted Woodpecker, but it was this hippo at the side of Glovershaw Beck that deserved a blip. The eyes are natural, a worn passage that runs through the boulder.
