Big Boy!

So it was virtually dark outside...sun setting over the mountains. And I saw this heard of deer in the church open field. The parking lot was on the east....which meant shooting into the bright sky left...or trying to walk around them all. Was getting nothing east of them so it was time to move...slowly and cautiously. If I scared them they might run right into traffic...all NINE of them.

Thanks to my 5DMIII and iso 12,800 I made eye contact with this handsome boy...certainly not a clean photo but pretty amazing for the circumstances.

Sometimes we shoot knowing it won't be a stellar photo...but we do it anyhow just for fun. This time it kinda paid off!
