Remains of the Dove
My favourite picture that I gave taken recently and my choice for my first blip!
A house a few doors down keeps white doves. Early afternoon, I noticed a large number of white feathers in the back garden. I thought that the local seagulls had been fighting again as they often do.
Looking further up the garden, I notice this beauty with the remains of one of the doves.
This female sparrowhawk sat enjoying her afternoon snack for twenty minutes, watching me standing only seven or eight metres away.
We have had falcons and hawks diving into the garden and disappearing instantly, but this was a rare event!
We named her Marge.
