'Snozzle'

Or as we English say, "St Austell", rumour had it that the weather was to be awful but sat inside my mobile greenhouse it was glorious.

Truro, Newquay, St Austell, I got to visit all these population centres today. Marked contrast, Truro was alive with shoppers, Newquay drab and dismal was not offering much in the way of cheer to those who had booked New Year breaks and St Austell is neither one thing or another. Not a holiday resort, not a shopping town, not much of anything really.

The countryside around it however is a different matter, these are the 'Cornish Alps'. China clay workings, they give the area a distinctive look.
