Boxing Day

After the excess and cabin fever feeling of the last couple of days we took advantage of a beautiful morning (along with loads of other people) to walk around the lake at West Kirkby.

Lots of folk were making the trek across the sands to Hilbre Island which I remembered from my childhood as a huge adventure that took all day - in reality it takes about an hour each way.

Missing B a bit, but will see her tomorrow weather permitting. Bridlington is much less tranquil than this scene, they are cowering under terrific wind and rain and with more forecast all over the Country tomorrow i do hope that those who are already suffering don't have worse to endure.
