Blip cleaned
It really is true that blipping changes your life, or at the very least your habits. Heavy rain in Belfast, just 160 km north of us, was headline news today, while here it's stayed dry and warm, though increasingly overcast. Time spent yesterday recovering from the hectic weekend meant I was on work catchup today. That combined with unpromising weather meant the chances of an at-home blip got greater and greater all the time.
There's a lot to be said for cloudy skies -- so much more interesting than wall to wall unbroken blue -- and I've now got lots and lots of lovely shots of cloud formations in my library, but none of them was really worthy of growing into a blip. Then, in true blip fashion, I spotted this little perfume bottle I got years ago while on holiday in Egypt and Bahrain. It's been sitting there patiently on the landing windowsill, little suspecting that it would be called into blip service. It's a pretty little thing, but it sure was dusty and far from its best, so, thanks to its impending moment of blip glory, it found itself in a nice basin of hot soapy water before coming into the limelight.
Lesson: blipping gets the cleaning done.
NOTE: I've uploaded a different version. It's the same shot, but cropped tighter and rotated to add a bit more interest. It was a tad too bland before.
