Bleak.

A shot taken down the river Ribble this afternoon on a damp and windy day. It's a little difficult to imagine that at one time this was one of the busiest rivers in the UK. In the late 1960's Preston docks was handling 16% of the countries trade and was even the home to the first roll on roll of ferries in the late 1940's.
Now silted up it gets a few lost soles in their leisure craft heading for the mariner and like in other parts of the country the dock sides are surrounded by housing and retail parks.
