Best laid plans...

We woke up to torrential rain and stormy winds so decided it probably wasn't wise to tow our little van 80 miles to our New Year break in the New Forest. We were probably a bit over cautious as by lunchtime a watery sun was shining and the wind didn't seem so ferocious - so we're going to set off early tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Instead I spent the morning trying to get hold of my GP to talk about my ongoing sciatica problems and got prescribed a whole lot more drugs...and I finally had time to read 'The Back Book' which basically says "get on with it" - easier said than done.
Spent a lovely lazy afternoon watching 'Mary Poppins' in front of the fire, and messing about with the Christmas jigsaw - so not all was lost!
