The Cornishman

Meet Tony. From Cornwall. And very proud of it. It's usually me that accosts people around Market Square but today I discovered what it feels like to be on the other side of the fence. Once he started talking it proved very hard to escape, although I might have been guilty of egging him on a bit by showing such interest. I love Cornwall and I had a great uncle who was a thoroughbred Cornishman. I hadn't realised that the Cornish language, although still endangered, is far from extinct and is being taught in some schools. Tony was very insistent that he wasn't British but Cornish. If Scotland vote for independence then Cornwall might well be close behind Yorkshire in the line that will surely form to follow suit!

Back in the office and a very boring day doing odds and sods. Home now and time to cook some dinner. Feel the need to look after my youngest tonight. He's been unwell since Christmas Day and is feeling rather sorry for himself at the moment.
