I really must get out of the habit of back blipping. So much is happening recently that I'm struggling to remember what happened when!
I think today consisted of:
- drive to North London for coffee and presents with K's son and his girlfriend.
- drive with them to Colchester for an inglorious defeat to Crewe Alexandra
- discover that CUFC ban the taking of photos during play :-(
- back to the ex-in laws for drinks and food
- on to K's sisters for more presents, drinks and food.
- minor family incident caused by us being "late" and his brother having taking his Dad back to theirs before we got there. Some rubbish about him always putting them last which is ironic as we hadn't known they were going to be there until we rang them from Colchester. To be fair there were some other family politics that meant we might not have been able to go back to the Colchester house so planning was always a little fluid.
- had a fantastic evening with the people who were there (and the evening was much less charged for that!).
- I may have sworn a little when I realised it was already 11pm
- in for a penny, in for a pound - offered to drop K's son and his girlfriend at her house. The 6am alarm tomorrow is going to hurt anyway, what's an extra 20 min.
- add an extra 10 min to that when we get the call to say that we'd left the camera. D'oh!
- get home at 1:30am and decide we need a drink before going to bed.
- 2am set that pesky 6am alarm.
What a cracking 24 hours. K may have found some of it less easy but I managed to stay out of the family shenanigans and talk to the kids in the kitchen.
