Winter Wedding
Today we took ourselves off to the Big Smoke just to get away fron the quietness of home for once during the Christmas break. Took only the wee Fuji compact with me as it was not to be a photo expedition. As it turned out I bagged at least 4, maybe 5 shots with which I am rather pleased.
The one I'm showing here though is being posted not for its technical brilliance but just to show that some folk will go to extraordinary lengths for their wedding album. Strolling across O'Connell's Bridge in St. Stephen's Green, I came across this small wedding party posing for their photographer while the bride and her bridesmaid were both turning a rather strange shade of blue with the cold.
It's not the first time I have come across a wedding at this spot but it most certainly is the first one in December. I admire them and just hope they don't catch pneumonia for their trouble.
The tones may look a bit strange here. I had the camera set onto one of its "funny" modes, an HDR type thing and didn't have time to change back to normal before grabbing my one and only shot. Converted to B & W it looks better than in colour.
