Three Shaker Birdhouses

The Shaker goal in their temporal labour was perfection.
"Good spirits will not live where there is dirt."
"Do your work as though you had a thousand years to live and as if you were to die tomorrow."

We both had long lie in bed this morning as the weather was foul. I managed to watch all three episodes of "Death in Pemberley" which I thought was magnificent - and better than the book which dragged a bit towards the end. Also the casting of Elizabeth and Darcy seemed to me perfect.

Then very busy afternoon of cleaning, washing and ironing - getting ready for trip to Edinburgh tomorrow. We're taking Ray's mum and her dog with us so looking forward to Hogmanay. Hoping to see firework display from back garden at Laura's - that is if I manage to stay awake!
