Shepherd's delight?
And should that perhaps be plural shepherds, given the season? Either way, I was inclined to think that the sudden glow in the sky this afternoon just before dusk fell was delightful only in itself, coming as it did after a day of rain and gloom - I cannot believe it will have any positive bearing on tomorrow's weather.
We walked for a couple of miles in GlenKin this afternoon; we'd been to the stalker's house to collect the venison fillet for our Hogmanay dinner and felt we couldn't go home without a walk. As usual, it was almost dark by the time we got back to the car.
The stalker's name, by the way, is Winston Churchill. Really. And his venison is superb. He has a website here.
