Off The Rails

Nothing like a good Christmas Day board game, and this one's an old favourite. The Great Game of Britain takes you back to the golden age of steam travel, in which players must ride the rails around the British Isles to a variety of interesting destinations (though sadly, Tipton is not considered such a destination). Plenty of perils lie in wait en route, and there's nothing quite like getting stranded in the Scottish Highlands with all southbound lines closed.

As millions tit about trying to traverse the country by rail this festive season, I'm happy to just do it by the fireside with a glass of spiced rum.
