With a Whimper

I was hoping we could finish 2013 with a beautiful sunset ... sort of like going out with a bang. Instead, the December 31st sky, which had earlier promised so much, petered out with no more than a figurative whimper. It has been a pretty good year all things considered ... at least it could always have been a lot worse. My loved ones remain hearty and whole and so do most of you, it seems. If we do no worse for 2014, that'll do me.
