Main Façade of the Monastery

I went to Escorial with Christian, a friend I made at church. He's from Trinidad in the Caribbean. Pretty cool, I say. I was so amazed by the monastery. It was historic and beautiful. I had no idea the kings and queens from the past few centuries were interred at the monastery. It was mind blowing that they lay in rest here. The basilica in itself was also breath taking. If only I could have taken pictures.

I had some technical difficulties with my camera towards the end of the night and I wasn't able to capture the life-sized nativity scene in the center of town. That was also really great.
