Out with the old

Overtaken by a restlessness today.. once I had retrieved my car, I felt that I should drive somewhere... but I managed to talk myself out of it. Rain was still falling and some roads still not open. Instead, I cleared my desk and did a bit of tidying up. But then - oh joys! The sun came out. So I'm off up the hill (on foot).

This is the trunk of an old holly tree which endures and still produces berries, amazingly. We have all endured, this year, despite some very sad times, and looking back on those bad days in March and April, I can see now that even then, I was being given a gift for the rest of my life.
