Flood

It rained and rained all night and we woke to our local first responders zooming up and down the village lights flashing and sirens going. From the Main Street looking down to the square you could see a torrent running and people having to sandbag their houses. The water was pouring off the hills as you can see filling up the old burn which is usually dry then overflowing and raging down Ramsay Road and out the other end of the village.
I got news from other places Kelloholm was badly flooded and New Cumnock. All day I got reports of how friends were doing. Thankfully by afternoon it had turned to sleet/snow but a walk up to the dam showed how much water was still running off the hill.
