Big Cat
Inscrutable cat,
Prowling the forest of lights,
Baring your teeth.
What a lovely evening ...relaxed dinner with dear friends, wine and chat. Excellent, so nice to catch up and share thoughts with like minded people.
I had volunteered to do puddings: The plan was to make a cheesecake and a Tarte Tatin Started the cheesecake in the morning on schedule and put it in the fridge to chill and set, except a few hours later it still hadn't set fully. Too late to make anything else, so improvisation required... scooped out the semi-set cheesecake bit and put into a dish. scooped the biscuit/coconut base and put in another dish. When we got there assembled the desserts in large wine glasses.... biscuity base, "relaxed" raspberry cheesecake, topped with fresh raspberries .... not too bad considering.
We were all too full for the tarte tatin ....
Anyway, I digress, this is a picture of my friends cat, who is called Max, which is a very good name for him because he is HUGE! He's a Maine Coon and I'm not sure if he is fully grown yet ... very big and fluffy. He sat on the window ledge and watched us for a bit, then yawned and wandered off. Clearly the conversation wasn't entertaining enough for him ....
Posting this a day later, so it's New Years Eve tonight ... if I don't blip before .... Happy new year to everyone. 2013 has been a difficult year for so many, lets' hope 2014 is more peaceful and joyful.
