Sugar

Every year around early September the Dutch 'Sugar Campaign' starts. Basically this means that the sugar beets are harvested, transported to Groningen and processed from beet to sugar.
Since it's now early October, the campaign is in full operation which makes that today's picture is a very often seen sight in the region of Groningen.

This picture was taken on my route from home to work.

The campaign will continue until at least the end of the year or maybe a little longer. Unfortunately you cannot smell the sweet scent from your screen...
