River recedes

Although this might look a bit like a mangrove swamp it is in fact part of a coppice on the flood plain of the River Yealm. It is quite normal for this area to flood after heavy rain in the area. Fortunately we have escaped the forecast showers so far today, but sods law will determine they turn up tonight just as we set out on foot for celebrations with friends.
