Mum and River and I visited the Conwy bird sanctuary today, as River has been asking for us to go to the 'cafe with sandpit' for some time.

The place now also has a large hide near the entrance with toys inside (stroke of genius), making it a perfect retreat for when you get too cold from playing in the sandpit. This blip is the view from inside.

After we emerged from lunch in the cafe we found that a large cardboard box/house (complete with window and door) had appeared over in the sandpit. River promptly designated it a shop and started collecting the sandpit toys inside for stock.

We spent all day there, it was great fun. Plus it only started raining when we headed home.

Now settling in for a long evening to see 2014 in. Happy New Year! :)
