Bristol - Day 1

Another busy day. We drove my son back to his home in Bristol, travelling via Taunton - which may not seem a logical route from Hertfordshire, but he had seen a car advertised there which appeared to meet his requirements for a replacement vehicle (see this for further explanation). It was a worthwhile excursion: the car was in excellent condition, and the mileage and price were within his targets, so he has paid the deposit and will collect it in a few days time.

After dropping him back at his house (and stopping for a cup of coffee) we then made our way to our hotel, which we had booked for a quiet overnight stay together (and to avoid having to travel all the way back home again in the dark).

Barely time to change before going into a much needed dinner (we hadn't had time to stop for lunch), but I did pop out quickly to take a couple of shots of the magnificent Clifton suspension bridge illuminated at night.
