In to the blue

Goodbye 2013, hello 2014. I've just completed and despatched the first of a new monthly column for a fishing magazine. I hope it's a good portent for the year to come. With luck they'll take some pictures too as they have in the past. There's no reliability in my work so I have no idea whether the superyacht business will deliver the kind of experiences I enjoyed this year. The blip is another Feadship.

I'll be blipping less but I'll continue to look in and follow your adventures. A daily walk with the dog is usually adventure enough for me! I'll still be commenting and blipping so it's not as if I'm going anywhere, but the blips will be less frequent, that's the promise I've made to myself. Two calendar years seems a kind of neat box, a chunk of my life parcelled in pictures.

The photography is a bit of a dilemma because I have to write - that's important - but taking pictures has become important too so it's quite possible I might try to notch it up a bit. Lots to mull over then and this is the perfect time of year to do so. So this is absolutely not goodbye, just goodbye to 2013! See you on the other side. Happy New Year!
