The year that was 2013
I just spent about an hour writing a blip entry only to delete it by mistake!
So here is the shortened version as I now need to post and run!
This is a collage I just put together of some of my iPhone photos representing 2013.
January started with snow and ice and a resolution to get fitter so I signed up to a half marathon. From 18 Jan to 12 May being the day of the run I went from no exercise, high blood pressure and dodgy knees to running 21km in 2hrs 23 mins and raised nearly £1,000 for Sue a Ryder hospice. Yearofhappy and my family and friends really supported me to achieve this. Thank you R x
In June I visited the States seeing Vegas, Grand Canyon and loads of other amazing sites. I met Giacomo and feel privileged to have met the person behind the words and pictures that inspire many of us on blip. Thank you Giacomo x
I also met Mr John and Dr Mac in the summer. Truly lovely blokes with fantastic journals. I also met ZMT a couple of months ago who takes great portrait shots. Thanks guys x
August was the Beacons festival where I ran zine making workshops with my friends and had loads of fun. The funky monkey was there and my wellies got about 500 hits on my Flickr account. Apparently there are wellie followers out there??
Autumn brought wonderful colours in the trees as it was dry and mild for quite a while. A new school year and I embarked on a foundation degree course. Moving hours around at work to still work full time and squeeze in the degree course too. A challenge but loving it!
2013 has been a year I realised that with family and friends supporting you and some self belief, even though times can get tough, we can do things we thought we never could or would do.
So the henna hands of my friends and mine represent friendship. These were from a hen party.
I could write more but I can't condense 365 days into one blip but then again that's what a blip a day is for so in 2014 I will be doing the 365 day challenge.
Happy New Year fellow blippers xxx
