"The Painting"...

...I stayed up all night painting this..!!...

...Well it looks like it doesn't it - (Maybe better on LARGE) -but no, I'm not that good, I did learn oil and water color painting years ago under a very well-known painter, but I never finished the one I started out with, to his utter disgust ..(I've still got it) -but gosh no, I could never be that good.

...Explanation: The lighting wasn't all that good today to take a good blip down at the Sandbar where all was quiet apart from some rather flash black and shiny boats zipping by prior to my taking this shot of the old Paddle Steamer Rothbury and a few families having fun in the river and playing cricket on the sand..do you remember doing that? I do..

...Just as well it was a nice overcast day otherwise the temperature may have reached the predicted 40deg.C but it's certainly not that..maybe standing by the bbq perhaps, but no sunshine today..all overcast..and it's New Year's Day for heavens sake, the weather could do better than that!! Maybe it's sunny where you are..

...Anyway, if you wanted to paint a picture just like this - well, there you have it, all ready (and processed to the hilt for you..)..
