End Of Days

After another battering swept in from the Atlantic this morning to deluge us with its rain and winds sun just broke through at about 4pm for a minute if two before sunset. Having missed the worlds shortest-lived rainbow yesterday (by the time I got my SLR out it had faded!) I was determined to end the year with an SLR shot but got caught camera-free in the centre of Woking at the end if the day and went for this sunset shot rather than lose the light altogether. Wanted to get something more cheering than raindrops to finish the year and the scene of last few shoppers on an empty puddle filled Woking centre slowly making their way home and the Christmas tree lights still twinkling to nobody in front of a fiery-orange cloud-covered sunset seemed both appropriately melancholic for the end of the year and brightly hopeful for a new one at the same time. Or maybe that's just my mood. Adventures in Clapham tonight as we are going out to play with new people at a party where we know very few. Yet. ;) Has been a while since we've been out at new year! Onwards into a new year. Happy New Year everyone.
