It was once again Trivial Pursuit time and the traditional match up of Men v Women. After a heavy defeat our hostess pulled out an entertainment version of the game in hopes of a recovery. We were finally on a roll, behind in pies but getting consecutive answers correct, when the countdown to the New Year began.

I almost wished I could watch the fireworks at the London Eye from close range, they were so fabulous, but was lucky to watch them on TV tucked in with friends, warm and dry and well looked after.
